Joannalyn earned a bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitative Services from Virginia Commonwealth University. She enjoys working with young adults and helping them prepare for the transition from high school to the next phase of their lives. Joannalyn has worked with Richmond City Schools as a GED examiner and as an adult education instructor. More recently, she has worked as an advocate in schools for families with children who have disabilities. Joannalyn is married and the mother of two daughters, one of whom is preparing to start the college entrance process. She is excited to help students and their families navigate the financial aid process, and have the opportunity to further their education.
